My dog brought animal skin home?
Today my dog brought something disgusting home.
We live in the country with 5 acres of land, there are horses and cows behind our property, and chickens and sheep and whatnot.
But today my dog brought home a piece of animal skin. It was 5-7 inches long and 5-6 inches high, and was covered with long black hair about one and a half inces that was slightly curly. The skin itself was a purple-ish black.
What is this animal hide?
We know it is not a
bat, rabbit, groundhog, cow, chicken, horse, pig, or anything like that.
Any ideas?
It was probably a roadkill skunk. After the cars run over it they get flat. It could have also been a cat.
