Any tips on having a successful yard sale?
We have moved 3 times in the past 4 years, so we've built up quite a bit of stuff that we have no use for anymore. Furniture that match the decor, window treatments that don't fit, etc....
Any tips for a yard sale that will be a success?
1) Have the yardsale on a sunny Saturday from around 9am - 3pm
2) Pick a spot that gets a lot of traffic driving by if possible
3) Advertise the yard sale on craigslist once every 24 hours for a few days before the sale
4) Hang large flouresecent signs at nearby intersections pointing to the yard sale
5) Try and get neighbors to also have a yard sale the same day and advertise as "multi-family"
6) Get a lot of people to help out and park their cars in the driveway to give the appearance of a busy place. People attract people.
