Is a black and white polka dot dress suitable for a memorial service?
I've never been to one before, and I don't know what to wear. I know the traditional black, but would it be different since I'm a family member?
But the dress is black with white polka dots. Would that be okay to wear? I don't want to wear it if it makes me seem like I don't care or something.
Small to medium-small dots okay, I think, but if they are fun-sized larger summerdress dots, then they are too festive. Also remove any flower trim (like red flowers some have). I've worn before and not felt odd or disrespectful. Sorry for your family's loss, my dear.
