will you get different colors if you mix blue, red and yellow in different orders?
for example if I mix the blue and yellow for green then add red, will it be different than adding blue and red for purple then add yellow?
the order is not a factor; the amounts mixed are a factor although when you mix the three primary colors, you will get some shade of gray or a brownish color perhaps. The only factor that will affect the gray is the extent to which one color dominates in AMOUNT and the type pigment in the blue/red/yellow. Since most tube paints are not a "pure" color but contain some of the other spectral elements, sometimes you get a big surprise when you mix them. Here's a nice little primer on getting browns and other colors from basic colors:

a great experiment is to set out equal amounts of colors and note their pigment. Experiment by mixing different amounts and then adding a third color and see where it takes you. Take note, too, of the amounts you add of each color and the results. You also get different effects by painting one color on top of another, especially true of the transparent colors when used on top of others. Have fun!
