Retailer refused to exhange the damage sari. wht to do?
I'm from coimbatore. I purchased a sari from a showroom (Sri Ganapathy Silks), later i noticed a damage in that sari, i took there and asked them. they refused to change the dameged one. what shall i do?
What's the deal? Do they have a "no return" policy? Is there a sign stating "no returns" or "credit only" meaning you will have to pick out another one.
Is it possible for you to ask around and find out from others what they know about this place?
From what you're saying, the other stores where you live do exchanges.
Go back to the store, receipt in hand and demand they either give you your money back or do the exchange. There comes a time when you have to say "it's unexseptical" to be treated in such a manner and that you have never heard of such a thing.
If they still refuse to do the exchange, then you tell them you will spread the word to others, not to come to their business, because they too will be treated unfairly. Now, if that doesn't work, walk out the door and pick the first person (woman) and stand right there by the store and tell the person not to do business in there store. They'll be watching. See what kind of response you get.
You pay good money and expect good service in return. I will not put up with that anymore (meaning me) as I can get loud if I have to. Why should the consumer always have to suffer.
I say get gutsy and go back to the store and tell them you're going to spread the work.
I'd love to see what you bought. Sounds beautiful.
