What do they call Chintz fabric now?
I used to love working with Chintz for home decor. Now everytime I put a search in for chintz in fabric web sites it comes up with none. Did they rename it or just stop making it entirely.
It's not as popular as it once was as many consider it a little "old-fashioned" or fussy. But most major interior fabric manufacturers still make a limited collection. You might also consider searching polished cotton as that is the most generic term for chintz.
Many of the "Shabby Chic" publications list resources in the back, these may be a good source as this is a style that relies heavily on these types of fabric!
