How would you describe your decorating style in your home?
Is it bold, colorful and modern; country inspired; cottage style; french; swedish clean; a little of this and a little of that; no real style; antique; victorian; comfortable; Pottery Barn; or what? What are the most used colors in your home?
We have gone through stages, and now our 127 year old farmhouse is quite eclectic, with mixed styles of dark wood antiques, upholstered chairs in sages and tans and prints; sort of a cleaned up farmhouse chic I guess, and very comfortable. There is not much white in the house, but the mouldings and kitchen cabinets are painted a cream color. We like it.
Definitely eclectic, scratched and dented courtesy of the U.S. Army and our many moves, lots of oak pieces... Victorian, craftsman, etc... a few trash day renovations 
and theme rooms. Master is Craftsman with calming creams, beige and soft greens, two guest rooms are vintage B&B with soft blues and greens, white linens and of course vintage quilts from the 1800's to 1950's. Formal dining room is vintage oak from pieces handed down in the family and wonderful found treasures featuring a cabinet with a collection of my Grandmothers vintage china (she had aprox 25 different sets of china, and that's just the coffe/tea service pieces... I didn't bring home any of the complete sets of which there were more than 30). Formal living room is casual but welcoming in brown leather, mahogany piano and furniture. The kitchen is a wonderful green with creamy white cabinets, red curtains and a collection of 1930's era kitchenware and framed fruit & vegetable crate labels as well as posters from local artists. Sadly where I have truly failed is the family room... though there is a beautiful fireplace with built-in cabinets on both sides, wonderful vintage 1800 oak pieces combine with my sofa from 1986. I've tried to replace the sofa, but just can't find anything that won't overwhelm the room and block the view to the backyard.
Someday I'm going to post up a few pics of that room and ask for advice. Next fall my husband deploys again, so I'm going to redecorate the family room while he's gone.
Anyway, I guess you can say my style is Vintage Eclectic Chic! lol
