Cotton Duck

The tag on my down coat says Professionally Dry Clean Only. Should I take a chance and wash it myself?
The body is 100% cotton, filling is 80% duck down and 20% feather, and the lining is 100% cotton
It could shrink so that's a problem. I have washed duck filled down comforters many times with good luck, but not a coat.
If you do decide to do it, use cold water, very gentle cycle, no dryer, just hang to dry. If it's old you could try, if it's new or a very nice coat, I'd go to the cleaners.
