Anyone know about the deserts of the silk road and Buddhists travelers?
What would a silk road traveler in the Tang dynasty wear if they were traveling through the Taklamakan desert (or any other desert in China)
Also, what was the exact route of Xuan Zang (629-645) Images would be greatly appreciated
I need more details on what a regular person would wear in a desert in Asia. By images, I mean maps with routes on them. Thank you to whoever posts anything that they think might help even if I didnt ask for it specifically =)
The Buddhist monks who traveled on the Silk Road would have worn their monastic robes - the only clothes they owned.
