How can I make my printer print onto a template?
I have a Template on Inkjet Teslin paper to make Novelty ID's for my friend, He wants an Austin Powers one with "License to Shag" on the top, and I told him I'd make it (as I'm acceptably good at Photoshop)
I've finished his ID on Photoshop, but whenever I try to print it out onto the Teslin paper it just doesn't fit on the template. How can I resolve this?
The paper is perforated and the printer is a HP C4585.
It's not the printer or the Teslin paper, it's the template. You have to tell the printer what "size" paper you are using. If the size of each perforated section of the template is not on the list of paper sizes for your printer, then you are going to have to play with different sizes until you find one that works. OR, you might try this, in Photoshop, open a new picture file set your canvas size to 8 1/2 x 11 (standard paper size), then go to your newly created ID, select, then cut (or copy), then paste it into your newly created picture file. You can move it around until it is in a position that will line up with the perferations. Test print on a regular sheet of paper. Take the test printed sheet, lay it on top of a blank Teslin sheet, then hold them both up to a light and see if the perferations line up. This is going to be a trial and error, thing until you get it right. Just don't waste Teslin paper doing it.
