How could i get rid of a stain from carrot cake mix?!?
My shirt is 100% organic cotton.. My sister put Clorox bleach on it (even though it is for our kitchen) and then i put just a little bit of dish washing soap on the a part of the stain....then i noticed your not supposed to mix the two,... good thing it was only a little part...Nothing has worked yet!
What can i do? please answer..
If you've run the shirt through the dryer, it might be too late. Dryers bake stains into the fabric.
But, here are some things you can try. I have gotten set-in stains out of shirts using this method.
1) Fill a spray bottle with warm water. Spray the stain. Rub Shout Ultra Gel into the stain and let it sit overnight.
2) Read the wash instructions on the shirt label to find out what temperature water to use. You want to use the hottest water allowable. Fill your washing machine and use Tide liquid detergent and a scoop of Oxi-Clean. When the machine fills up, throw the shirt in and shut the machine off. Let the shirt soak overnight. The next day, run the machine.
3) Keep repeating these steps until the stains are gone. You may have to wash the shirt about 10 times before the stain comes out. Do not put the shirt in the dryer until the stain is gone.
Instead of Shout Ultra Gel, you can also use a stain remover called "Scrub-a-Dub". I have only seen it sold in uniform stores. Look in your local yellow pages. This stuff works great on set-in stains. Spray the stain with warm water and work the scrub-a-dub into the stain with an old tooth brush. Just be gentle, as brushes can tear the fabric. Rinse and repeat until the stain is gone or until it at least fades. Put more stain remover on the stain and let it sit overnight.
